It's LAVISH BITCH, who is this guy?

Param Sharma is just a normal 17-year-old living in California’s Bay Area. But on the internet, he’s known as Lavish—the disgustingly rich brat who goads celebrities like Rihanna and Soulja Boy into pissing matches on social media with scathing insults. He flaunts his apparent big bucks on Instagram, where he has nearly a quarter of a million followers. He’s attained internet fame by taking pics of himself doing everything from throwing away thousands of dollars by tying cash to balloons, hosting cash sweepstakes, pouring Pellegrino down the toilet, and rocking two pairs of trendy True Religions at the same time.

The media has been having a field day trying to figure out if the first-generation American is the heir to a great fortune earned by his Indian parents, or if he is just a goofball with too much time on his hands. Some believe his mom is Shikha Sharma, CEO of Axis Bank, or Anu Sharma, a Bay Area marketing consultant. These conclusions seem laughable, especially considering Axis Bank released a official statement debunking Param's potential relation to their CEO and threatened to take legal recourse.  But whatever. I could care less if Lavish is the real deal or not. As long as he keeps pissing on celebrities like Kim Kardashian, he can be whoever he wants to be.
Loool GOD punish this boy ooo!!

CU has decided to make sure that we don't browse again o!!!!! One of the many things happening on campus now is the reduction of browsing time by CSIS. It was initially bad enough when they introduced the 100mb per day rule, but they ain't stoppig there, they reduced it to 2gb per month.May be they think we won't do the maths.anywayź for those who waste their lives browsing 24/7 this will be very good, but that aĺso means no download or live streaming again. The fact that we cant browse with sims is not helping matters either.Anyways CSIS we are begging you o,  please  increase our browsing bundles especially for the 100 level guys who have not had their fàir share of browsiñg. The Freshman Feeling

As we just began a new academic year everywhere i go i see the new students or Freshers as we call them moving around and where ever they are they stick out like a sore thumb, their dressing is a major give away as they are not yet accustomed to the way we dress they look funny to us old students. And if you're a fresher and a group of people start laughing as you walk past them and they weren't laughing or giggling before, then you probably the reason for their laughter you probably won't understand why now but you would when you're in their shoes.
About three years ago i was also a fresher and back then before i got to school boot cut was still the "in thing " or at least to me, "it was a lie o.....was a small boy like this...evribody was looking big but i knew that one day i will grow.lwkmd...was a dead guy that year tho but like d peak advert 'i was determined to never give up'.i can remember myself wearing parachute trousers and shirt thinking that i was so fly" Lol the statement in quote was written by James one of my many mischievious friends, i know i was small and and wore big clothes but come on i wasn't that bad. Back then i didn't get it all and i didn't think anything was wrong with the way i dressed but when i saw the next set of freshers i understood why we were so funny back then, in the end adapting takes time.

Chancellor Charges Staff, Students to Invest Time as New Academic Session Begins

Chancellor Charges Staff, Students to Invest Time as New Academic Session Begins
After five weeks of holiday, Staff and Students of Covenant University resumed on Sunday, August 4, 2013 for the 2013/2014 Academic Session and immediately commenced registration of the returning students.
The Fresh Students also resumed on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 and commenced registration same day. What is unique about the new session is the commencement of the Three-Semester Academic Calendar as approved by the University’s highest governing body, the Board of Regents.

Prior to resumption, the University Management had organized various units including the Academic Affairs, Admission Office, Student Affairs, Financial Services and Centre for Systems and Information Services to ensure that the students have a smooth registration for the new academic session.

In the same vein, the Halls of Residence were renovated to make them more conducive for habitation. Staff were also mobilized to ensure that the students have a sound academic session.

At the Opening Assembly cum first Chapel Service of the session on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, the Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo charged the Staff and Students alike to make the most of their time for it is man’s greatest asset in his quest for great accomplishments.

Speaking on “The Power of Time”, the Chancellor noted that the quality of time invested determines ones destiny.

“Those who make the most of their lives are those who make the most of their time. Likewise, those who mess up their time make a mess of their lives. Life is measured by time. It is the quality of the investment of your time that determines your destiny”, he explained.

Directing his words to the students, the Chancellor said, “Everyone has capacity to be an extraordinary student. If you can make an “A” in one subject, you can make it in others. It is just an extra effort you need.

“If you can not manage your time, you can not manage your life. Time is an asset of equality. Everyone has the same amount of time. All you need is to learn how to invest it wisely. Those who know the worth of time can not lose ground in life. Only time investors are players in life”, he advised.

He welcomed everyone to a session of glory and high productivity as he declared the session opened.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo also welcomed both Staff and Students. He congratulated everyone on the successful completion of the last academic session and the 8th Convocation Ceremony.

He promised that the 2013/2014 Session would be different as he enjoined everyone to put in their efforts to achieve the goal of “One of Ten in Ten”.

EVERYBODY O!!!! CU is now running on GAS TURBINE.

The latest gist reaching us here is that CU and the whole of cannanland is now running on a gas turbine . With the new power system we are supposed to be having light 24/7 everywhere. The V.C in his welcome speech actually said "power is here to stay" so i think that's what He meant. A reliable source from chaplaincy also confirmed the story. I never see the gas turbine with my own eyes o but i heard it is located outside cannanland. The gas turbine is actually going to save the school and church a lot of money being spent on diesel and maintenance. If this is true then the days of going to library to charge and sleeping in darkness are over. But today there was power failure I guess they are still testing the gas turbine............lol. Sha lats see till the end of the semester if the increase in our school fees is justified.
Gas Turbine, CU don dey step up o.,

FIRST CHAPEL SERVICE FOR ALPHA SEMESTER

Today the first chapel service for alpha semester held.It was great though the turn out of students was low, seems most guys that resumed just registered and went home. Surprisingly, Papa was in attendance. It wasn't too comfortable for most for the staff sha, the V.C sparked for them due to the fact that most of them were not around for the students registration. Anyway, the session has started ..............even for those of you that are still at home.
see more pictures after cut..............

THE GREAT WALLS OF CU

I know most of you are thinking so many things ..........you are probably wrong and probably right. But this is something almost everybody has experienced at least once (except you are the V.C's child).
You know those butterflies that fly about about in your stomach when you are nervous..........now you have to be truthful with yourself, don't you feel it every time you are passing that long cannaland wall. I feel it every single time I pass by those walls into canaanland with those butterflies becoming more aggressive as we drive through the gates. I hope someone does not die of heart attack one day......lol.
Anywayz I think I'm overcoming that feeling each time or more like getting used to it.  So CU peeps when you pass by those walls know that you are not alone ,we all feel the same way. And if you are not yet used to it, sorry cos when you get in to that gate you ain't coming out without one security asking you for exeat.
coming up soon are pictures of resumption day hustle.
Get ready for this semester guys......cos cuhotgist will be on FIRE!!!!!!.

7 THINGS I WILL NOT TAKE TO SCHOOL

CU peeps out there its almost time for resumption and that means shopping for stuff. Anywayz looking back at the time i've spent in CU here's a list of the things I will not buy and definitely not take to school................especially if you're in any of the guys hostel
#1. KETTLE
This is the number one thing on my list due to the nasty experiences I had with the kettle I had...........guys won't wash it, they wont return it back, they will break any part breakable and yes you at times have to o to another wing or Hostel (*winks*) to get the kettle you borrowed your floor mate back before it now finally gets spoilt. I won't take any kettle to school ..........don't know about you.

#2. IRON
This is next after kettle. Be sure that if you take any iron to school it will never be the same again both in shape and size. Plus imagine people telling you when you wake up in the morning that they are before you for your iron. Whew I ain't taking no iron to school. Dry cleaners never die.

#3. AIR FRESHNER
If you are considering taking this to school it is either you are still a leaner or you have too much money to spend or you are anticipating a roommate with wonderful odours. Anywayz I don't fall into any of those categories so air freshner stays at home.

#4.BUCKET
I won't say too much about buckets but I prefer to travel light and conserve space in my box.Plus you guys living closeby should bring..............I'll collect from you when I want to wash. Bring many oooooo we gas wash. Lol.

#5. PILLOW
Not too many people will support me on this but I think I'm cool with just the bed. I'll wrap some clothes together and lie down if my head needs some elevation.

#6. RADIO
Seriously............. what are you using radio to do when you are not a babcock student. I know you think nobody brings radio too school but you'll be surprised. Some people are just too used to life at home or cant do without Wazobia or cool FM (can't even remember the last time I sat down to listen to radio............except inside holdup). But anywayz  if you're considering bringing a radio (100L) for your own sake don't.We use laptops and Ipads in CU.

Last but not the least( who still writes like this?)...................
#7. MOSQUITO NET AND FLIT
The first and last time I brought these to school was in 100L when I was anticipating all kinds of conditions. Anywayz for those prone to malaria I really think you should bring these with you. But as for me.......... ummmmm I think I will be on four hundred floor far above mosquitoes.

P.S: All of you should bring the above things oooooo. I might need them (except radio).
P.P.S: You are also exempted and can bring the above things if you are a stingy ass Nigga like one of my guys. See you in school and expect some crazy pictures of resumption day hustle.
Adieue.(excuse my french).

Gadsby: A Story of Over 50,000 Words Without Using the Letter "E"

Gadsby.jpg

Gadsby: A Story of Over 50,000 Words Without Using the Letter "E is a 1939 novel by Ernest Vincent Wright. The plot revolves around the dying fictional city of Branton Hills, which is revitalized thanks to the efforts of protagonist John Gadsby and a youth group he organizes.

The novel is written as a lipogram and does not include words that contain the letter "e". Though self-published and little-noticed in its time, the book is a favorite of fans of constrained writing and is a sought-after rarity among some book collectors. Later editions of the book have sometimes carried the alternative subtitle 50,000 Word Novel Without the Letter "E". In 1968, the novel entered the public domain in the United States due to failure to renew copyright in the 28th year after publication.

CU HOT GIST CONVOCATION SPECIAL :PART 2

#SAYNOTOFRIENDZONE- HOW TO ESCAPE THE FRIEND ZONE

#15 Remove Your Shoulder

Okay, so we're not asking you to literally remove your shoulder! What we're suggesting is that the reason you're probably in the friend zone to begin with, is because you've always been the shoulder for your crush to cry on. When his or her relationships sour, you're always there to pick them up again and offer relationship advice. Trust us, stop playing this role!

While it's important to treat your crush with respect and to be a gentleman, this doesn't mean being their doormat. Let them know that you don't exactly like hearing about other girls or boys all of the time...

#14 Step It Up

Flirting may not seem like a new option to you, but trust us, if you're still in the friend zone then you're obviously not flirting effectively. Perhaps you're being too subtle, and he or she isn't even noticing your advances. Or maybe your flirting comes across more as "just two friends goofing around". Either way, it's time to step it up a level.

Next time you're talking to your crush, hold their gaze a little longer than you normally would. Compliment them to let them know that you think they look great tonight. It's small advances like this that will really get them thinking about you as a potential dating partner.

#13 Get Physical

It's time to introduce subtle touch as a flirtation method! It might sound a little scary, but physical touch is actually the most effective method of flirting.

Next time you're sitting at a table, playfully tap his or her foot with your own. Next time you're having a conversation, take a small risk and place your hand on theirs to emphasize a point.

Another great tip, particularly if your crush is a female, is to place your hand on her back whilst you're both out at a bar. It's subtle, yet effective physical affection like this that will help you break down that friend zone barrier!

#12 Sample Dates

The benefit of being in the friend zone, as opposed to barely being acquainted with your crush at all, is that you can hang out with them one-on-one without it being weird. Use these hang-outs to do date-like activities, and you'll reintroduce the idea of a relationship to them.

For example, ask them if they want to go to the cinema with you, or perhaps out to dinner. If you've been working on an assignment together, ask them if they want to go out for drinks afterwards. If he or she really enjoys spending time with you, they will even begin to suggest more of these "dates" until they turn into the real thing. Spending time together in a dating atmosphere allows the two of you to realize just how great you are with one another - Bonus!

#11 Friend Power

Perhaps it's time you recruited a wingman or wingwoman? When you first met your crush, it's only natural that they subconsciously weighed you up as a potential partner or not. However, if you've been put in the friend zone, then it's time that you got your friends to subtly help you escape it.

If you're trying to please a guy, get some of your other friends to talk about how great you are to him. If you're trying to impress a girl and you're friends with her other girlfriends, then get them to remind her how much of a great boyfriend you would make. It may sound cheesy, but if you can find friends you trust to help you out, then it could be the nudge in the right direction that you're after!

#10 Chivalry Isn't Dead

There's nothing more attractive than a gentleman, so if you're a male hoping to escape the friend zone, then you had better become a lot more chivalrous! Have dignity for yourself, and treat her with all of the respect that she hopes for in a partner.

Open doors for her, or if she's cold, offer her your jacket. If you find yourself at a restaurant with her, pull her chair out for her. It's moves like these, without going too overboard, that shows her you have manners and that you respect her as a woman, not just as your "mate". Another important tip is to never blatantly check out other females in front of her. This is an ultimate turn-off and it will communicate the idea to her that you don't find her attractive.

#9 The Break-Up

Things between your crush and you may be tricky if your crush is actually in a relationship! The first thing you're probably thinking of doing is trying to break up the happy couple, but we strongly recommend against doing this! Not only will it dramatically decrease your chances of ever escaping the friend zone, but it may also eradicate you from your crush's life altogether.

The last thing you want to show your crush is childish or jealous behavior. Envy is an unattractive quality in anyone, so don't let it rear it's ugly green head! Instead, try to show your crush that even though they're in a relationship, they're still important to you.

#8 Break The Stereotype

Chances are that you're being super nice and over-the-top sweet to your love interest, correct? Many guys or girls who end up in the friend zone fit into the stereotypical "nice guy / girl" category. While there's nothing wrong with being nice (in fact, it's something to be congratulated about), the problem is that you most likely don't voice your opinions or say 'no' when you want to.

The nice guy / girl is typically afraid of hurting other people's feelings, so they constantly get the raw end of the deal because they are unable to speak up for themselves. Do you always loan people money, even though they never pay you back? Or are you constantly helping friends with their assignments only to have them never return the favor? If you want your crush to earn more respect for you, it's time you communicate your own needs and have more respect for yourself!

As a result, your crush will begin to respect you in return, and the channels of communication and desire will flow more freely.

#7 Favor Time

If you've been friend zoned, it's probably because you're the one who will always do anything they ask you to do. But do you ever ask them to help you out too? Chances are you don't in fear of them getting annoyed, but if you want them to value you as more than a friend, they're going to have to invest in the relationship too!

Simple things such as asking for help with an assignment, or maybe asking for a ride. If your crush begins to feel needed in little ways, it will transform your friendship and help it to advance. When both parties involved begin to realize that they can rely on one another, then this can only be a good thing!

#6 Healthy Competition

A little healthy competition has never been bad for anyone! If someone feels as though they could lose something, it all of a sudden becomes more precious to them. You probably make your crush a priority, but they've friend zoned you and made you an option, right?

Perhaps it's time to make some new friends? If you begin spending more time with another person of the opposite sex, it's only natural that your crush may become a little jealous. While a little jealousy may prompt them to begin to value you as a person more highly, deliberately going out of your way to make them super jealous will only destroy your friendship (and any future chance of moving into the love zone). So play this card very carefully...

#5 Absence

You know the saying, "absence makes the heart grown fonder"! Your crush has got used to you always being there, and as a result, they've begun to take your presence for granted. It's only when we notice some distance between those we're close to that we begin to realize just how much their company means to us. It's true!

While we're not asking you to suddenly become a bad friend who suddenly never wants to hang out, we're just suggesting that it's beneficial to not spend 24/7 with one another. Perhaps you have other friends you've been neglecting? Your occasional absence will make your crush appreciate the time they spend with you more.

#4 Makeover Time

We're not suggesting you have to go out and buy the latest and greatest clothes in order to make yourself more attractive to your crush! Instead, we're suggesting that your crush has probably friend zoned you because they've known you for a long time and they've become very used to who you are as a person. As a result, you may no longer seem exciting to them.

If you've been thinking about a change of hairstyle or attitude, then perhaps now is the time! You've got nothing to lose. Start to look at the world around you with new eyes, and a fresh new change. Your crush will suddenly begin to take a lot more notice of you. Plus, they say change is as good as a holiday, so you'll be treating your own self-confidence too.

#3 Needy Never Works

Whether your crush is a guy or a girl, one thing is for certain. Nobody likes a needy person, whether they're your boyfriend / girlfriend or not! Neediness is the ultimate turn-off, and this could very well be a reason why you've been sentenced to the friend zone.

If your crush is busy, don't panic and begin to ask them if they're free the next day instead. Play it cool and don't act too desperate for their time and attention, otherwise they will begin to take you for granted and fail to see your wonderful potential as a love interest.

Sometimes you need to make your crush want to spend time with you, rather than you always being the one to initiate spending time together.

#2 Just Say It!

So you're stuck in the friend zone and you don't know why? Perhaps it's because your crush doesn't know you actually like them more than a friend! It might sounds scary, but one of the most important things you can do to escape the friend zone is just tell your crush how you feel in the hope that they feel the same way back.

We know you're freaking out about ruining your friendship, but this really is the last step if all else fails. If the subtle flirting or one-on-time hasn't worked by now, then just give it a chance. You never know what will happen! It's better to risk some embarrassment for the chance of finally dating your love interest.

#1 When All Else Fails

Okay, so you've tried absolutely everything, including telling your crush how you feel but to no success? Looks like it's hard decision time...Staying friends with someone who isn't romantically interested in you when you have strong feelings for them is going to begin to mess with your mind after a while.

By spending time with them constantly, you are only hurting yourself. For reasons you will probably never know, they simply just aren't attracted to you. It's wise to try to remain friends with them, but not to see them or talk to them as often.

Explain to your crush that you can't help your feelings, and you can't help theirs either, but it's time you tried to move on. It's time for you now to untie those heart strings and to start searching for someone just as attractive to you. There's plenty more fish in the sea, and you deserve to find true love, just like everyone else.
