HEBRON FM- THE VOICE OF EAGLES



The Chancellor of Covenant University, Dr. David Oyedepo, through the institution has the mission to raise a new generation of leaders. Hebron FM has been the potential project of the Department of Mass Communication, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun state, Nigeria. It was adopted by the Graduating set of 2013. It is a tradition for every graduating set to execute a project on behalf of the school and this is captioned the Legacy Project. The 2013 set, called the Renaissance set, came up with the idea of building an effective radio station for the school as her legacy project. This was welcomed by the University management and immediately, a Project Committee was set place to oversee the execution of the project. The Chair of the Hebron FM Project Committee is Professor Idowu Sobowale, who is also the Head, Mass Communication Department. The Committee worked in direct collaboration with the Student CPC under the exemplary leadership of its Chair, Mr Dickson Nsofor. To achieve the project, a Student CPC Radio Project Team was put together with the following persons:
1.  Mbanisi, Kenechukwu Churchill (Team Lead)
2.  Adekunle, Oluwadara (Assistant Team Lead)
3.  Akola, Ayotunde (Team Secretary)
4.  Oguntunde, Oluwaseyi (Head, Online Broadcasting and Web Hosting)
5.  Ihebenachi, Chimezirim (Head, Station Construction and Setup)
6.  Jolaoso, Aduragbemi (Head, Content/Program Development)
The team, under the supervision of the Hebron FM Project Committee, executed the project from the start with the goal of broadcasting the 2013 Convocation Ceremony live. The Students of Mass Communication, under the leadership of Mr Usaini Suleiman, setup programs to be aired on the station during the Convocation period.
